Seenlandbahn experts know this: During the Saxon summer holidays, the railway line between Kamenz and Senftenberg wakes up from its slumber. Also in 2021 the line RB 34 of the Verkehrsverbund Oberelbe (VVO) will run from July 24 to September 5, 2021 on Saturdays and Sundays with a pair of trains between Dresden and Senftenberg – with stops in Straßgräbchen / Bernsdorf, Wiednitz and Hosena.-
As announced by the VVO, the journey begins Lakeland Railway on Saturday, July 24th, 2021. Then the line starts at 9.35 am Central station in Dresden and drives straight to the Lusatian Lakeland. Via Kamenz (departure: 10.25 a.m.), Straßgräbchen-Bernsdorf (departure: 10.33 a.m.), Wiednitz (departure: 10.37 a.m.) and Hosena (departure: 10.44 a.m.) the train of the Central German Regiobahn then arrives at 10.56 a.m. Oberspreewald-Lausitz– District town of Senftenberg.
Back in the direction of Dresden, the Seenlandbahn leaves from Senftenberg at 4:55 p.m. Hosena (Departure 5:07 p.m.), Wiednitz (Departure 5:14 p.m.), Rhinestone/Bernsdorf (5:17 p.m.) and Kamenz (5:26 p.m.). The Seenlandbahn reaches Dresden Central Station at 6:18 p.m.
According to the VVO, the train service between Kamenz and Senftenberg is interrupted on two Sundays. On August 15 and 22, 2021 from Kamenz there is a Bus with bicycle trailer in action.
According to the VVO, day tickets are available from EUR 6.50 (reduced EUR 5.50). Family day tickets start at ten euros. The VVO tariff applies on the Seenland Railway. Tickets According to the VVO, they are available from service points, via ticket selection at machines and from train attendants. That too Saxony ticket the Deutsche Bahn is recognized. Passengers from Dresden to Senftenberg need a ticket for the VVO network area. Passengers from Kamenz must buy a single journey for tariff zones 30 (Kamenz) and 33 (Lauta), it is said.-
