Chihuahua.- The State Government and the Ministry of Welfare will seek universal coverage of scholarships for people with disabilities in Chihuahua.
Governor Maru Campos Galván reported in a statement that the intention is to work to benefit the nearly 280 thousand Chihuahuas with disabilities.
“We are looking at how to reach an agreement with the Federal Government so that we cover 50 percent and 50 percent of the Federation and the State to achieve universal coverage,” explained Campos Galván.
During his work tour of Chihuahua, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador pointed out that he wants to do teamwork with the States and thanked the governor for her willingness to collaborate together in favor of those who need it most: “in this way we will achieve that all the disabled have their pension, we will do it in a coordinated way “.
He added that currently only children and adolescents with disabilities have this support, so it is necessary to join efforts to benefit as many Chihuahuas as possible and thus achieve universal coverage regardless of the age of the people.
