The resemblance will amuse many.
Adored by Russians, the alien Alf still evokes feelings of nostalgia. The success of the character is due not only to his personal charm, but also to the wonderful translation.
The Russian voice of Alf was presented by dubbing actor Alexander Klyukvin, who enthusiastically approached the process. He still believes that this role is the best in his filmography. It is worth saying that outwardly the actor is also somewhat reminiscent of a fluffy alien from the sitcom – there is the same “plushness” and softness in his appearance.
In an interview on YouTube channel Dmitry Cherevatenko, the actor shared a funny story related to Alf. Once he was stopped by a police lieutenant and asked for documents. But when he heard the familiar notes, he immediately lost his formidability. The law enforcement officer almost childishly asked Alexander to say something as Alf. Klyukvin understood and, in the voice of a hero, asked him to let him go as soon as possible. The magic worked, and the lieutenant said goodbye to the actor, forgetting why he stopped him at all.
Alexander Klyukvin is also known for many roles in theater and cinema. He also voiced the masterpieces of world literature “War and Peace”, “The Master and Margarita”, “Treasure Island” and “Harry Potter”.
