YuThe heat wave that has hit the southern regions of the country in the worst way has not only affected the survival of humans but also other species. Spain was one of the countries most affected by the heat wave. Hectares of forest land have been burning in Spain for the past few weeks. Beach tourism is very popular in Europe during the hot summer months. As such, tourists who came to bathe in the sea at Benajarafe Beach on the Costa del Sol were horrified to see a creature that suddenly emerged from the sea. Although sharks do come to European shores, tourists all jumped up and ran after seeing the creature that swam from the sea to Benajarafe Beach. Because the creature that swam out of the sea was a wild boar.
Half an hour’s drive from Spain’s southern city of Málaga, Benajarafe Beach is the family-friendly beach on the eastern tip of the Costa del Sol. A wild boar ran out of the sea while people were relaxing on this beach the other day. One of those who saw the wild boar swimming out of the sea can be heard calling out in the video.
–
‘Be careful, it comes from the water.’ The wild boar was seen when the people who were lying on the beach got up after hearing the loud voices of the people. Seeing a ‘muttan’ wild boar, all the tourists who were lying on the beach sunbathing got up and ran. It was a large wild boar about three years old. A wild boar that came ashore from the sea ran ‘without touching the ground’ through the quicksand when it saw the humans.
–
On the other hand, the travelers who saw the wild boar got up and left without even considering the loss of their clothes. When the wild boar ran into the bushes along the coast, some people lying on the beach prepared to hunt him down. However, the police intervened and repelled those who had prepared for the hunt. People turned away when the police asked them not to disturb it.

‘A wild boar was appearing like a mermaid from the beach at Benajraf.’ A tourist on the beach wrote on his social media page. Jose Antonio, who runs a company that leads searches for the animals, said he had never seen such a wild boar in the area before.
–
However, he informed that they found the way it went. ‘It has a very sharp horn. It’s not currently attacking anyone, but if you try to attack it, it will deal a lot of damage to you.’ Jose added.
–
He explained that it was likely to return to the beach. He said the drought and heatwave currently affecting southern Spain is disrupting its natural habitat and forcing wildlife out of the wild.
–
Jose added that if the wild boar still came to the shore, he would capture it at gunpoint and transfer it to its own habitat. No one was injured this time. But two months ago, a 67-year-old woman was bitten by a wild boar on the coast of the Costa Blanca.
–
The wild boar is believed to have come ashore from the Serra Gelada Natural Park, which is located near the 5,000 acres of protected coastal areas in the municipalities of Benidorm, Alfaz del Pi and Altea. However, there is no information about how it reached the sea.

When the lockdown was announced in the wake of the Corona virus pandemic, even in populated areas, people-to-people contact was reduced. This has caused wild animals including wild boar to leave the forest and come out more and more. In the past six months, there have been reports of wild boars attacking many people from various coastal areas of Europe.
