Formula 1 has announced its return to Las Vegas after more than 40 years. And she revealed where the track in the iconic metropolis would actually lead.

The F1 carousel is not heading to Las Vegas for the first time, the race named after the famous Caesars Palace hotel took place here in 1981 and 1982. At that time, it was a small concrete jungle in the hotel parking lot, rather than a city circuit. The current experience is supposed to be more spectacular and reminiscent of the iconic Monaco or night racing scenery of Singapore.

However, it will be about long and fast circuit. It is 6.1 km long – it will be the third longest in the calendar – and at the end of the longest straight, the monoposts have a speed of up to 342 km / h. The track has fourteen turns, including one long, 180-degree track, which will be a particularly big challenge for the racers.

Another attraction of the Las Vegas race, which will take place for the first time next year, is the time of the event. Unlike all the others (and for the first time since 1985), the red lights to signal the start of the grand prize will go out on Saturday. However, due to the time lag, we will have an early Sunday morning.

The visualization below shows where the F1 management planned. And of course the iconic Las Vegas Strip must not be missed. “There is no better place for Formula 1 racing than the world’s entertainment capital, and we can’t wait to visit here next year.” Stefano Domenicali let himself be heard. You can already get acquainted with the track itself below.
