See what the version of ZAZ “Tavria” was for Europe PICTURES

Rare archive photos of the Poch Tavria XL have surfaced online. This version of the ZAZ-1102 was created specifically for Europe, Ukrainian publications reported.

Few people know that “Tavria” was exported to Europe. Supplies have been established since Ukraine gained independence in 1991 and the ZAZ-1102 has enjoyed some demand, mainly due to its low cost.

In particular, by 1993, 1,600 cars had been delivered to France. There they cost 35,990 francs and were among the cheapest cars on the market. In addition, “Tavria” even entered the French magazine Auto Plus – she participated in a competition of budget cars.

It is for France that the local dealer Poch creates the Tavria XL. The hatchback differs from the standard model in the design of the front end, new bumpers and rims. The interior has been improved.
