The Equinox One costs no less than a million euros and was designed by the Dutch designers Twan and Davy Swanenberg from Culimaat.

The handles of the Equinox are finished with diamonds and the inside of the drawers are decorated with the precious stingray leather. “So that even storing crockery and pans becomes a luxurious experience.” Several shelves are also framed with gold leaf.

The kitchen cabinets are made of reddish-brown Dalbergia wood, a type of wood that belongs to the noble woods. Most wood of these species falls under the collective name rosewood, because of the aromatic scent of the wood.

The kitchen islands are rotatable and the kitchen cabinets can be moved. This way you can always let sunlight into the kitchen. (It is useful for that if you live in a penthouse or villa with lots of light …)
‘Nice’ extras are the wine cabinet, the butler pantry and the so-called semi-precious stones at the back of the kitchen. The stones are semi-translucent, so the LED lamps behind them give the kitchen a magical atmosphere.

Interest has already been shown in the kitchen, Van den Hoogen reveals. “An American entrepreneur from Chicago has announced that he wants to talk about the kitchen.”
Van den Hoogen does not expect that the kitchen will be sold much in our country. “It will do better in countries like America and Dubai, where they like to show off such beautiful designs.”
