The Municipality of Plovdiv is pleased to invite Plovdiv residents and guests to the opening of the photo exhibition “30 Moments from Plovdiv” by one of the most titled Bulgarian photographers – Plovdiv resident Minko Mihailov. The event will take place on November 17, 2021, Wednesday, from 18.00 in the lobby of the 2nd floor of the House of Culture “Boris Hristov”.
Minko Mihailov is a professional photographer with over 20 years of experience in this field. One of the founders of the school for photographers PHOTOSCHOOL.BG and one of the main lecturers in it. He has won a number of prestigious international awards and distinctions. In the last few months alone, Minko Mihailov has won one gold and one silver medal (within a week) from competitions in Portugal and Spain.
From the International Photo Salon in Lisbon, he received a gold medal for his participation in the “Color Photography” section with a shot taken in Myanmar. of the year at the Malta International Photo Award.The competition is one of the most prestigious in the world, and the shot of Minko Mihailov was chosen from thousands of participants.At this year’s “International Photo Salon Plovdiv”, Minko Mihailov was awarded the “Honorary Plaque” of the Municipality and First Prize of the Greek Photographic Association.
“I love to travel and photograph the beauty and color of the world around me. With photography I manage to make a real and unreal journey, it is the key to new and unknown worlds and acquaintances. Whether I photograph people or nature, I try to capture the moment, that a moment that will never happen again. For me, photography is a journey into the world of forms and light, it is not just a point of view, an emotion or a moment of time, it is all that comes together in one word – PASSION. , the photographer shared in his interviews.
