His friend is sure he didn’t die of natural causes, but he suspects something happened
26-year-old Stoyan Spasov from the Macedonian city of Vinica is the man who was found dead on Sunday in a building on Emilian Stanev Street, not far from a shopping center in the capital, slobodenpecat.mk reported, citing the Bulgarian Interior Ministry. The prosecutor has already launched an investigation under the penal code for aiding and abetting suicide.
There is still no information on the causes of the young man’s death as his body was subjected to an autopsy.
The Interior Ministry has already contacted the family of the deceased and informed them of the case.
His close friends inform slobodenpecat.mk that Stoyan was an athlete who had been working and living on rent in Bulgaria for some time.
His relatives are surprised by his sudden death.
“We only found out that Stole was found dead in front of a shopping mall in Sofia. We don’t even know why he died and how it happened on the night of December 17. All we have heard is that he allegedly fell off a bicycle or “He had a heart attack. How likely it is, I can’t say, but I’ll say that I’ve known Stole personally for years and we were very close friends,” a friend of his told Macedonian media.
He also says he is surprised by the silence of the North Macedonian media and institutions on the case. The man adds that he knows him well and they last communicated about two weeks ago.
“The last time we had a video call with Stolle was two weeks ago. I couldn’t guess from our conversation that he had health problems or that something bad was happening to him.
I am very surprised by his death and I am convinced that it is not natural, but on the contrary – something happened to Stole,” says Spasov’s friend.
According to initial data, there are no signs of violence on the body of the Macedonian citizen and it is very likely that it is an overdose, reported the MIA correspondent from Sofia.
