The Huawei P50 continues to be talked about on the web. Weeks before the presentation conference in China, a reputable informant uploaded official images showing the photo block from all angles. This huge camera is made up of two separate sections and a total of 5 photo lenses.
Despite persistent US sanctions, Huawei is preparing to launch a new generation of high-end smartphones on the market, the P50s. Like last year, the Chinese group will decline the range in three editions : a P50, a P50 Pro and an ultra premium P50 Pro +. The design of the three variants has already been revealed by a string of leaks.
To distinguish itself from the competition, Huawei integrates the back of smartphones a huge camera made up of two circles. Thanks to this distinctive sign, the Chinese brand is doing well. As the leaks increase, a renowned informant called Teme has published official renderings of this astonishing photo sensor.

A huge Sony IMX800 sensor for the Huawei P50
According to the leaker, these are official marketing renderings designed by the Huawei teams. The images feature the photo block of the standard P50. We can see in fact a total of 4 photo sensors. The higher-end versions, P50 Pro and P50 Pro +, carry up to 5 lenses. As always, Huawei’s P line primarily targets photography enthusiasts. It is not uncommon for smartphones to rise to the top of DxOMark’s best camera phone rankings.
As expected, Huawei slips three photo modules into the upper circle. A single lens, accompanied by an LED flash, is visible in the bottom circle. It’s about main smartphone photo sensor. At the latest news, the Chinese brand is betting on a Sony IMX800 lens, a huge 1-inch photo module.
Moreover, the technical sheet of the camera is still unknown. We expect to find the participation of Leica, the specialist in the photo, and a telephoto lens. Either way, we’ll know more about the P50s as early as June 2021. Huawei is expected to host an online conference to present the range.
