A terrible sight is revealed at the site of the accident near Varna, in which four people died earlier today.
Three more people were injured in the accident, including a woman, who were admitted to the emergency department of “St. Anna” in Varna. The dead are about 50 years old, their identities are yet to be clarified
The accident happened this morning around 7:30 a.m. on the old road between Varna and Devnia. Two cars and a truck were involved in it, the reasons that led to the collision are not clear.
Chief Inspector Petko Kamburov, head of the “Road Police” sector – Varna revealed to the media details about the terrible accident.
“According to the information received by the teams, a Mazda car, moving in the direction from Varna to the city of Devnya, began a gradual deviation of its movement from the right to the oncoming left lane. At the same time, a Mercedes truck, which was moving from Devnya , in the direction of Varna, trying to avoid the impact, came as close as possible to the right safety fence, but it was impossible to prevent the accident, as a result of which the truck and the “Mazda” collided. In an attempt to make a rescue maneuver, the driver of the truck diverts its movement into the oncoming lane, where a second collision with a dacia car occurs.
Upon impact, the drivers of the two cars and two passengers of the second car died on the spot. In the emergency department of the “St. Anna” hospital, two passengers from the Dacia are admitted in a very serious condition.
