Before brothers Joe and Anthony Russo return to Marvel and prepare their next superhero shows, they will show the world their latest film. A sci-fi show called “The Electric State” was created for Netflix. Although the premiere is announced for early 2025, thanks to Vanity Fair we can see the first photos from the production today.
What do we know about the movie “The Electric State”?
“The Electric State” will be an adaptation of an illustrated novel written by the Swedish artist Simon Stålenhag, whose work is the basis of the series “Tales from the Loop”. The script was written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, with whom the Russo brothers have worked on all their Marvel projects.
The film is set in an alternative version of the 1990s, after the war between machines and humans. The heroine is a teenager who sets out to search for her missing brother. A funny robot gives her instructions about his whereabouts. On a dangerous road, the girl meets a former soldier and his mechanical colleague. Together they set off into the unknown.

The show will be the brothers’ second project for Netflix. Previously, they created the action movie “Gray Man”.
