Lady Gaga explained the unconventional method proposed by her boyfriend Michael Polanski

The 13-time Grammy winner revealed to Jimmy Kimmel that Michael Polanski asked her if he could propose before he popped the all-important question on a road trip in April.

“We traveled together and climbed rocks. We’ve been climbing before, which was really fun,” Gaga explained, adding that the tour took place shortly after her 38th birthday.

“He didn’t propose to me at the top of the cliff. We climbed to the top, looked around and took a few pictures. We went back downstairs and just walked back to the room. It was quite normal for Michael to ask if he could ask me. He wanted to know if it was okay to propose before he proposed. I said to him: Yes! Of course!”

The host then asked if Polanski got down on one knee during the proposal, and the actor replied, “No. I’m a modern woman, I liked what he did.”

“He was carrying the ring in his bag, so it was so cute,” she said. “He reached into his briefcase and took it out.”

The singer, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, was asked about her wedding plans and whether she wanted to have a big Italian wedding ceremony, writes fakti.bg.

“I don’t know what we’re going to do. We’re not quite sure yet,” she explained. “We’re actually talking a lot about just going to court just the two of us and then ordering Chinese food but also, knowing ourselves, it could be a unicorn circus.”

Gaga previously revealed her relationship with Polanski in a topical interview with Vogue.

“I’ve never met anyone like Michael,” the star told the magazine in October. “He’s so smart and so kind. And his life and mine are very different. “He’s very private and he’s not with me for any other reason than we’re right for each other,” explained the pop star.

Lady Gaga’s mother introduced her daughter to the businessman in 2019 after meeting him at the birthday party of Napster founder and Facebook investor Sean Parker. Polanski is CEO of The Parker Group, which oversees Sean Parker’s business and philanthropic affairs.

The couple fell in love soon after meeting and were quarantined together during the coronavirus pandemic.
