While Charles commemorated war victims in Germany, the fourth season of the Netflix series The Crown was released on Sunday. Friends of Prince Charles do not seem to be happy with the new season. The series would “troll on a Hollywood budget,” Mail Online writes.
There was a lot to do, because Diana would also make her appearance in this season. The friends of Queen Elizabeth’s eldest son have now unleashed a “blistering attack on the show,” the website writes.
“This is drama and entertainment for commercial purposes, disregarding the actual people involved who are being exploited,” a source allegedly told the website. “In this case it is about things that happened 25 or 30 years ago in very difficult times.” According to the source, the makers did not take the feelings of those involved into account. “That’s not right or fair, especially when so many things that are depicted don’t represent the truth.”
Prince Charles ‘marriage to the late Princess Diana features in the series, as well as Diana’s struggles with bulimia and Charles’ affair with Camilla Parker Bowles, to whom he is now married. The new season is said to have caused “great concern” within the royal family.
