The Civil Protection Forces in Qalyubia controlled a limited fire that erupted in a quantity of fragments and trees inside the walls of the Psychiatric Hospital in Al-Khanka, and the fire was controlled and prevented from spreading to the neighboring areas without casualties, and the prosecution took over the investigation.

Major General Fakhr Al-Arabi, Director of Qalyubia Security, received a notification from Brigadier General Amr Harb, Director of Civil Protection, of a fire limited to a quantity of fragments and trees in the wall of the Psychiatric Hospital in Al-Khanka, and Colonel Ahmed Shaarawy, head of Al-Khanka Police Department, was immediately transferred. Without human casualties, the security services suggested that the cause of the fire was an unknown person who threw a cigarette and by the winds caught fire, and the prosecution took over the investigation.
