The data and reflections present in the book Security, Integration and Energy Transition in Latin America: Challenges and Perspectives are solid contributions to the examination of a dynamic realitya, which demands of new countries institutional arrangementss in the midst of the energy transition and climate changes.
The book has two central objectives. Firstly, it was proposed to offer a research source capable of pointing out possible solutions for the sustainable development of the Latin American energy scene. Furthermore, it seeks to specify the technical cooperation between countries in pursuit of energy security, closely linked to energy integration which must be aligned with the energy transition and sustainability commitments to mitigate climate change.
The positions gathered here demonstrate the need to harmonize legal devices and operations of countries whose resources and demands related to the energy sector are inserted in contexts of interdependence.
