In order to see the future, we have to first appreciate the past: appreciate where we come from, who we are, what our history is.
Although it is not a colonial city, San José has a history rich in jewels that we can enhance, not only for a tourist theme, but also for a sense of belonging.
San José must be a resilient city that takes into account all the needs of its inhabitants: the elderly, children, people with disabilities, etc.
There must be an offer of activities for these populations in such a way that they feel part of the city.
This feeling of belonging is summarized in four axes: security, efficient infrastructure, promotion of activities and enhancing decoration.
When a city is safe and well designed, people want to stay in it and make it their home.
Now there is the Smart Cities trend that many people believe is limited to having WIFI in the neighborhoods, but that is only a small part of what the future of San José is.
Mobility, waste management, and the metabolism of the city can be improved through technological instruments that optimize resources and therefore improve the quality of life.
This also helps us build a greener city with better energy and water management, where awareness of recycling increases.
We achieve this through teamwork.
We definitely need better coordination between municipalities, and more flexible regulatory plans that have a business vision.
We must be united, because in the end we all seek the same thing: that all people are happy in the city with security and business opportunities.
All this will only be achieved if civil society, together with the state and local businesses, work together.

San José is the most accessible Latin American city for Americans and Europeans, in which the visitor has a perfect climate.
We will generate new income and jobs, by improving the experience in the area delimited by Estación del Pacífico – Barrio Escalante – La Sabana – Parque Bolìvar, as well as improving the quality of life of the Josefinos, taking advantage of the vision of hoteliers, chefs, architects, developers , urban planners, artists, and many more.
