The friendly match between Atletico Madrid and Juventus Turin scheduled for Sunday in Tel Aviv, Israel has been moved to Italy for security reasons.
As the two clubs announced on Saturday, the match will not take place as scheduled due to the armed conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad organization PIJ.
Instead, the two teams meet for the last test of endurance before the start of the respective season at the Turinese’s training ground. On August 15, Atletico will face FC Getafe away, while Juventus will start the Italian league on the same day with a home game against Sassuolo Calcio.
Last Sunday, Tel Aviv’s Bloomfield Stadium hosted the French Super Cup between champions Paris St. Germain and cup winners FC Nantes, which was won by PSG 4-0.
