Security and Justice will grant a universal scholarship for police and prison applicants: Prensa Gobierno de Mendoza

The initiative seeks to support future security agents, providing resources for their training and recognizing the efforts of those who pass a rigorous selection process.

Starting in November of this year, the Ministry of Security and Justice will provide a universal scholarship for aspiring police and prison officers of $200,000. This initiative, announced by Governor Alfredo Cornejo and the Minister of Security and Justice, Mercedes Rus in an event at Base Cóndor, will also be extended to those who begin their training next year. The objective is to facilitate the financing of expenses related to your training, such as transportation, study materials, refreshments and photocopies.

“We are establishing a universal scholarship system for all those who pass the selection filters, which are demanding in terms of technical, physical and psychological exams. Our purpose is to strengthen the police personnel who are trained and who demonstrate vocation and commitment,” said Mercedes Rus.

The purpose of the measure is to strengthen the performance of future professionals, integrating them into the system from the beginning of their training and recognizing their efforts after having passed a demanding selection process. Of the nearly 2,800 registered this year, only 17% managed to pass the entry filters. This scholarship seeks to accompany and support those who demonstrated the commitment and ability necessary to advance their career within the security forces.

In this way, at the end of this year, 299 students from the University Institute of Public Security (IUSP), who are taking the Basic Professional Training Course for Police Auxiliaries, and 145 students from the Penitentiary Training Institute (INFOPE) will benefit. ), of the Training Course for Penitentiary Agents.
