Result of the Curarte es Guelaguetza call, issued last year by the Secretariat of Cultures and Arts of Oaxaca (Seculta) with the support of the Federal Secretariat of Culture through the AIEC program, 206 projects were benefited of which 39 are collective and 167 individuals, which will be broadcast from this Wednesday, February 3 at 4:00 p.m. through Facebook: Secretariat of Cultures and Arts of Oaxaca.
The head of the Seculta, Karla Villacaña Quevedo, recognized the active work of the creators, promoters, artists and cultural managers who participated in the categories of community and popular expressions, literature, visual arts, dance, music and song, as well as cinema and audiovisual media.
In that sense, he said that various proposals were not delivered on video due to the type of projects, therefore the agency decided to bring them together in capsules in order to promote, encourage and disseminate the richness and plurality of traditions, as well as artistic expressions. and cultural aspects of the population as a fundamental element of their social and human development.
He recalled that the Curarte es Guelaguetza call promoted actions that boosted the economy of the artistic and cultural sector affected by the contingency derived from COVID-19 and the winners were creditors of 8,000 and 12,000 pesos.
