Cali’s Infrastructure Secretary, Luz Adriana Vásquez Trujillo, received an invitation from the Open Government Partnership (OPG), entity that highlights inspiring leaders worldwide for their work in creating open government tools for citizens.
Under the leadership of Mayor Alejandro Eder, Secretary Vázquez Trujillo was one of those selected for her work in implementing different digital instruments with which the people of Cali have been able to access clear information from the organization that is committed to a comprehensive infrastructure in the city.
The Works Monitor, located on the website of the Mayor’s Office of Cali and with which you can constantly monitor the works that were suspended in 2023, is an example of the tools created during this Administration that allow citizens to access key and transparent data.
This work has been commendable for the OGP Steering Committee in Washington to select the secretary from Cali as an inspiring leader at a global level to share with several international peers who are working on “developing, strengthening and/or implementing legislation, strategy or comprehensive roadmap against corruption.”
“It is an invitation that demonstrates the fulfillment of the mission entrusted to us by Mayor Alejandro Eder to recover Cali through innovation and transparency. We are very proud that world leaders highlight the work we do from the Cali Mayor’s Office,” said Secretary Vásquez Trujillo.
The program of the Open Government Partnership This will allow us to delve into key issues such as the creation of tools and approaches for the evaluation of political economy, the strengthening of value propositions and other thematic approaches in opportunities to advance anti-corruption actions and reforms.
In the coming days, the Infrastructure Secretariat will implement new strategies so that the people of Cali can follow up on the more than 20 construction fronts that will be opened in the city.
It is expected that, with these works, more than 80 kilometers of roads can be paved throughout Cali, which will be able to be monitored by the people of Cali.
