Secretary of education of Tlaxcala dies from COVID-19

Early this Sunday, the governor of Tlaxcala, Marco Antonio Mena Rodríguez, announced the death of the Secretary of Public Education, Florentino Domínguez Ordoñez.

The death occurred after Domínguez Ordoñez remained hospitalized for several days due to COVID-19.

On November 19, the professor learned that his coronavirus test had come back positive to later be admitted to the Nativitas Regional Hospital. Over the days, his situation got complicated and he was later intubated and transferred to a hospital in Puebla, finally there he died.

The governor of that entity, Marco Mena, wrote on his Twitter account: It is with deep regret that I report the death of my friend Florentino Domínguez Ordóñez, Secretary of Public Education of the government of Tlaxcala.

“His political legacy and in favor of the teaching profession will take place in the history of Tlaxcala. My condolences to his wife Gaby, his children and family ”.

For his part, the federal Secretary of Education, Esteban Moctezuma expressed his condolences: I am very sorry for the death of my friend Florentino Domínguez Ordóñez, Secretary of Education of the Tlaxcala government. Determined promoter of better education in his state. My condolences to his wife, his children, Marco Mena, as well as the Tlaxcala teachers. N
