People Power Party lawmaker Park Soo-young revealed at the National Tax Service’s audit by the Planning and Finance Committee held at the National Assembly on the 16th that Mr. A, whose lifetime pre-tax income is less than 400 million won, owns real estate worth 8 billion won.

On this day, Rep. Park asked, “What does the National Tax Service do if you purchase and use real estate that is much larger than your income or are making a profit from it?” and then answered, “According to Article 45, Paragraph 1 of the Increased Tax Act, it is recognized that the property was acquired on one’s own. In difficult cases, it is assumed that it was received as a gift and the source of funds must be investigated,” he said.

He continued, “As a result of requesting data from the Gyeonggi Provincial Office and the Ministry of Public Administration and Security for Mr. I went up and worked for 1 year and 2 months for 31 million won, then worked for 3 years as a lump sum and 7th grade in the general term system, and finally as a grade 5 in the general term system. If you add up all the money received at this time, it is 367 million won before tax.”

At the same time, Rep. Park said, “However, if you look at the houses Mr. A currently owns, a total of 7.92 billion won, including 3.5 billion won for a commercial house in Gwanggyo, Suwon, 2.85 billion won for an apartment in Jamsil, 825 million won for an apartment in Jeongneung, and 745 million won for an apartment in Bundang.” He said, “The purchase price is estimated to be around 2.5 billion won.”

Park Soo-young, a People Power Party member of the National Assembly’s Planning and Finance Committee, is asking questions during a government audit of the Public Procurement Service, Korea Customs Service, and Statistics Korea held in the conference room of the Daejeon Government Complex on the 18th. Representative Park also said, “There is a media report that Jamsil Apartment was purchased entirely in cash without a single loan.” He added, “How can they purchase more than 2.5 billion won when their total pre-tax income is less than 400 million won? I have it. “If there is someone like this, shouldn’t the National Tax Service investigate the source of funds?”

Kang Min-soo, Commissioner of the National Tax Service, responded, “We will analyze similar cases internally, regardless of who they are, and verify them sequentially according to the actual tax benefits.”

Representative Park said, “Mr. A is Bae So-hyun, Kim Hye-kyung’s illegal secretary. “Now that you are aware of it, you must verify it, and if you do not verify it even though you are aware of it, it will be a dereliction of duty,” he said, emphasizing the National Tax Service’s investigation.
