US President Biden’s lawyers found a dozen classified documents in November in his private office at a Washington think tank. The documents date back to the time when Biden was vice president (from 2009 to 2017) of the United States, according to a White House lawyer.
The documents were found the day before the midterm elections began. The documents were handed over to the National Archives the next day. The Justice Department is investigating the matter.
Biden used the office off and on between 2017 and the start of his 2020 presidential campaign. The pieces were found while his lawyers were cleaning up the office. The documents would be in a locked cabinet.
It is unclear what the contents of the documents are and why they were kept in a private office. Some of the documents are classified as top secret, reported CNN. How much is unclear. Second a CBS news source the documents contain no nuclear secrets.
Biden declined to answer reporters’ questions at a summit in Mexico he is attending. Even the Ministry of Justice and the National Archives have not yet commented on the matter.

The Justice Department is also currently investigating former President Trump, Biden’s predecessor. The ministry says it has evidence that it has more than three hundred secret documents he took home after his term as president. At least three secret items were found in a drawer during a search of his Mar-a-Lago Florida estate.
“When will the FBI raid Joe Biden’s many homes, maybe even the White House? Those documents have certainly not been released,” Trump said on his Truth Social platform.
And in the House of Representatives there are also criticisms of the Democrat Biden among the Republicans. “President Biden was very critical of President Trump for accidentally taking home classified documents, and now it appears he’s done the same,” said Rep. James Comer, who is about to become chairman of the House oversight committee . “How ironic.”
