Jakarta –
The main director of Perum Bulog, Budi Waseso, again spoke out about this rice mafia. According to Buwas, the mafia’s actions played with the price of Bulog’s rice so that it became expensive.
The medium price of rice from Bulog should have been sold at Rp 8,300 per kilogram to traders. However, Buwas received a report that the price obtained by the traders was actually expensive.
“That’s right, I checked with the dealer and reported to me, ‘Because I bought it was expensive, sir, that’s all’ ‘Because I couldn’t buy it through Bulog, I had to go through this and that.’ Actually I already knew, and I wasn’t that stupid. It’s a quotation mark that there is a mafia. I’ll tell you later,” said the man who is usually called Buwas in a press conference broadcast on Perum Bulog’s Live Instagram, Friday (20/1/2023).
In fact, Buwas revealed, the rice mafia dared to hold a meeting near the Bulog Public Corporation office.
“I’m telling you this so everyone can hear. So I don’t need to be slaughtered or anything, the Food Task Force will answer later. So don’t be like that, what models are these and what a great courage to hold this meeting near the Bulog office, that’s really top!” he said.
“The profits are divided. We are lucky for a thousand for 3, so those 3 are definitely supportive,” he continued.
Buwas immediately gave information related to the rice mafia to the Food Task Force so that they would be immediately investigated and taken action. However, if the rice mafia were their employees, the Buwas would not hesitate to fire them immediately.
“I proved everything, so once again there is no monopoly. They feel the most powerful, feel they have the most right to have superpowers. concerned,” he said
Buwas felt that many of his employees did not like him. This is allegedly because Bulog is no longer able to play a business when selling rice to the market.
The case of dismissing Bulog employees who played dirty has also been carried out by Buwas. He said that, like the case of the disappearance of Bulog rice in South Sulawesi, he did not hesitate to immediately fire the head of the warehouse there.
“I know the games at Bulog. I have no hesitation in dismissing those concerned. As in South Sulawesi, rice was lost on loan, whatever the reason is, it’s wrong. Just get punished and fire first,” he explained.
The practice of the rice mafia does not only deliberately increase the price of rice. According to Buwas there are also people who deliberately mix premium Bulog rice with lower quality.
Then the rice was instead returned to Bulog. Buwas also suspected that the practice was also contributed by the employees of Perum Bulog themselves.
“That is put back into Bulog premium, the rest is mixed and supplied to Bulog. This has happened many times. I said now check the lab. The finding is that rice is going back to Bulog, now that includes the supplier, surely my members will definitely play. I don’t want that, ” he said.
