The second victim of a house fire in Hilversum last Friday also died. The suspect is a 49-year-old man, police said. A 48-year-old woman was previously killed.
The two were found seriously injured in the building early Friday morning and taken to hospital. The woman succumbed to her injuries several hours later.
The cause of the blazing fire has not yet been clarified. The police are investigating whether a crime has been committed.
NH News reports that local residents believe the fire has something to do with an incident last week. A stone was then thrown through the window of the house, after which a report was made.
