-Doctors, nurses and pharmacobiologists from public and private establishments attended the Second State Congress of Pharmacovigilance in order to avoid endangering the health of the population
CITY OF PUEBLA, Pue. – In order to detect adverse reactions associated with medicines and vaccines, the current government of Sergio Salomón, through the Directorate for Protection against Sanitary Risks (DPRIS), belonging to the Ministry of Health, held the Second State Pharmacovigilance Congress attended by 150 people including doctors, nurses, biotechnologists, chemists, pharmacobiologists from public and private establishments.
During the inauguration of this congress, the director of the DPRIS, Luis Alejandro Tabe García, indicated that this event will help health personnel to broaden their knowledge and thus prevent the health of the people from being at risk due to a reaction to any medication supplied.
The deputy director of regulation and health promotion of the DPRIS, Eduardo Camarillo López, highlighted that the training given to the attendees will allow them to know the safety profile of the medicines, in addition it will strengthen the work tools for the benefit of the population that is attended daily in the medical units, hospitals and/or any establishment where a medical service is provided.
The congress was attended by the College of Biomedical Engineers of Mexico, AC, as well as the National College of Biological Pharmaceutical Chemists, AC, and the Pharmacovigilance manager for Latin America Bausch-Health Grossman Tecnofarma.
