Second stage angioplasty; Ganguly’s health is reported to be satisfactory

Kolkata: BCCI president and former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly has been admitted to hospital with chest pain. The reports came after he underwent a second angioplasty. The news agency quoted Apollo Hospital officials as saying.

Sourav Ganguly’s health continues to be satisfactory. He slept well yesterday. The function of all organs is now normal. Necessary tests are being carried out. According to the news agency, the decision on whether to transfer to the ward will be made only after the supervision of senior doctors.

Ganguly was admitted to hospital on Wednesday with chest pains. The 48-year-old Ganguly had been feeling unwell since Tuesday evening. A subsequent examination on Wednesday showed a slight deviation in the ECG. He was rushed to hospital. Ganguly, who was admitted to the hospital earlier this month, once underwent angioplasty.
