A third of the second half of the Bundesliga season has been played. Time to take a look at the table of the second half of the season.
Surprise: For once, FC Bayern Munich does not lead the table. In fact, after the bankruptcies against Gladbach and Bochum, the record champions are “only” in fourth place in the second half of the table. Due to the thick cushion after the first half of the season, the lead in the title race is of course still comfortable.
RB Leipzig and the (rightly) often scolded BVB lead the second half of the table with 15 points each – ambitious clubs like Gladbach and Frankfurt can only dream of that. In fact, the two traditional clubs can be counted as major disappointments in the second half of the season.
VfB Stuttgart and Hertha BSC, who are without a win in 2022, are also disappointing across the board and have to worry about staying up.
Positive surprises include Cologne, Bochum, Bielefeld and Fürth, which have a good to very good score in 2022 for their standards.
