Second round of mayoral elections – SWR Aktuell

In the mayoral election in Walldorf (Rhein-Neckar-Kreis), none of the candidates who stood up won the majority required for an election victory. The turnout was 54.6 percent. The FDP man and lawyer Matthias Renschler received the most votes in the election on Sunday, namely 44.1 percent. The Heidelberg CDU city councilor and professor Nicole Marmé came in second place with 31.1 percent. The Walldorf SPD city councilor and pharmaceutical-technical assistant Petra Wahl came to 22.1 percent. They are all about the successor to Christiane Staab (CDU), who was elected to the state parliament in March. The now necessary new election is planned for July 11th.
