Second National Public Health Day in Huamantla: Vaccination Campaign Announced by City Council and Health Ministry

TLAXCALA, Tlax., November 13, 2023.-The H. City Council of Huamantla, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health (SESA) of the state of Tlaxcala, and the National Public Health Service, announce the Second National Public Health Day under the motto “Healthy Community, Strong Community,” which will take place until next Friday, November 17.

Municipal authorities invite all those people who, for various reasons, have not been immunized or completed their vaccination schedule, can do so at the Huamantla Urban Health Center, which is located at Hidalgo Poniente S/N corner with Roberto Covarrubias, in a hours from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Among the main actions is vaccination in minors, where the presence of the mother, father or guardian is necessary, as well as the minor’s vaccination record.

Influenza vaccines are applied to children from 6 to 59 months, and the at-risk population from 5 to 9 years; and COVID-19 for people without doses, girls and boys from 5 years old and people with comorbidities.

In the case of adolescents from 10 to 19 years of age, pending vaccines will be applied according to the National Health Card, and the delay in vaccination against the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) will be monitored for fifth and sixth grade girls. primary school, first grade of secondary school and girls of 11, 12 and 13 years old not in school; For the population between 10 and 14 years old, albendazole will be administered.

People from 20 to 59 years old may still receive vaccines according to the National Health Card and availability of the biological, vaccination against COVID-19 and seasonal influenza; and women ages 20 to 49, CIS and TRANS, with HIV to receive the HPV vaccine.

Likewise, for people aged 60 years and over, the application of vaccines according to the record, against COVID-19, seasonal influenza, and pneumococcal, for said population with or without comorbidities.

In this way, the government headed by Salvador Santos Cedillo promotes coordinated actions with the three levels of government to ensure the well-being of the Huamantlecos with respect to their health.
