Yesterday, the second international Hike and Fly Championship competitions, organized by the Air Sports Federation, were launched under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, in cooperation with the Dubai Sports Council, with the participation of 40 players representing 16 countries.
The tournament will be held in five rounds in Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah and Hatta.
Dozens of fans gathered on the beach of Mina Seyahi in Jumeirah, to watch the performances presented by the contestants in an effort to achieve records in the second edition of the championship, which witnesses the best pilots in the world.
The second round is scheduled to start tomorrow in Ras Al Khaimah (Jabal Yans), and the third round will be held in Ras Al Khaimah in Jebel Jais the day after tomorrow, while game lovers will have a date with the fourth round in Jabal Al Faya in Sharjah on the eighth of November, and the tournament will conclude next Saturday in the fifth round. For his part, Director of the Organizing Committee, Yousef Hassan Al Hammadi, expressed his great happiness with what was witnessed on the first day of this international event of the “Hike and Fly” Championship, which for the second time enjoys a distinguished public presence, stressing that the technical level of the contestants, whether local or international, was very distinguished.
