*Hepatitis B Immunization Dose 2 is carried out at the Purwokerto Narcotics Prison Clinic for Doctors and Nurses*
Purwokerto, INFO_PAS – On Friday, December 29 2023, the Purwokerto Narcotics Prison Pratama Clinic carried out the 2nd dose of Hepatitis B immunization. This activity is part of the Ministry of Health’s program organized by the Directorate General of Disease Prevention and Control (Dirjen P2P), which focuses on implementing Hepatitis B immunization for medical and health workers.
Hepatitis B immunization is given in three doses, with a gap of one month between the first dose and the second dose, and a gap of five months between the second dose and the third dose.
Dr. Viska Armyna Sari explained that this immunization is very important for medical personnel and health workers because they have a high risk of contracting and transmitting Hepatitis B. Therefore, providing protection through immunization is very important for them.
Apart from that, this activity is also part of efforts to accelerate the achievement of the goal of eliminating Hepatitis B by 2030 by providing Hepatitis B immunization to medical personnel, especially those who carry out medical interventions or procedures.
By implementing Hepatitis B immunization at the Purwokerto Narcotics Prison Clinic, it is hoped that medical personnel and health workers in that environment can be protected from Hepatitis B and contribute to realizing the goal of eliminating this disease.
