Second defeat in a row to Bangalore FC; Jamshedpur FC in the top three

Fatorda: Former champions Bangalore FC suffered their second consecutive defeat in the Indian Super League. Bangalore lost to Jamshedpur FC by an unbeaten margin. Jamshedpur goal was scored by Stephen Ise. With the win, Jamshedpur moved up to the third position. They have 13 points from nine games. Bangalore FC are fourth with 12 points after eight matches.

Bangalore were leading the way in terms of ball possession and number of goals scored. But it was Jamshedpur that had the meeting to shake the net. In the first half, Jamshedpur’s Malayalee goalkeeper TP Rahanesh’s brilliant performance kept Bangalore out of the lead. In the third minute, Rahanesh missed the opportunity given to Bangalore. Meanwhile, Jamshedpur striker Nerijus Valskis’ goal attempt was in vain. Rahanesh’s double save in the 33rd minute disappointed Bangalore again.

After a goalless first half, Ise shook the net for Jamshedpur in the 79th minute. Aniket Jadhav crossed the box from the right wing after receiving the ball from Alexandra Lima. Ise dived on a low ball and headed to the post. In the last 10 minutes, Jamshedpur’s defense tightened and Bangalore did not get a chance to fight back.
