The seriously injured man who was found last night in a raid by the police in a building in Arnhem has died. His death most likely has to do with the 55-year-old man from Laren who was found seriously injured yesterday in a car in the center of the city.
He turned out to have been shot and died shortly afterwards.
The police do not want to disclose the identity of the person who was found after the raid, but according to The Telegraph in De Gelderlander it concerns the director of an Arnhem collection agency.
Investigation of links between cases
The newspaper reports that he would also be involved in the death of a man in Amersfoort. Eyewitnesses saw that person sitting lifeless in a car yesterday.
The newspapers further write that the director would have announced three murders in his area, meaning there would be a third victim. He is said to have committed suicide after his actions, writes De Gelderlander.
The police say they are aware of reports about the links between the crimes and about a possible third victim, and are investigating this.
