Meghan, the wife of British Prince Harry, has given birth to a daughter, can be read on the website of the bunch. Their second child is called Lilibet Diana (nickname Lili) Mountbatten-Windsor. She was born last Friday in a hospital in Santa Barbara, California.
The name Lilibet refers to her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth, who is so called in the royal family, the name Diana was chosen “to honor her beloved grandmother Diana”.
According to a statement from the parents, the mother and child are doing well. “She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we are grateful for the love and prayers we have felt from all over the world,” the statement read. Harry and Meghan also thank for the support and kindness “during this special time for our family”.
Lili was born at 11:40 am (local time) and weighs 3.6 kilos. She is now home.
