Second attempt: and once again the Styrians hit the dance floor in Central Styria

The time has come: on 18 September Graz wants to set the world record for waltzes in the “Aufsteirern”. La “Woche” and its online platform MeinBezirk.at have requested training in advance.

THANK YOU It is not long now: this year “turn up“at least 1,600 couples should waltz together – and with it a new one world record setting up. The show is expected to take place on Sunday 18 September at 11:30 am on the Passamtswiese.

City Council as “Vordancer”

If you want to dance, you should at least be able to perform the most important dance steps. This is why we asked for a course together with Claudia Eichler from the homonymous dance school: in the Styria Media Center in Gadollaplatz there was already the second edition of a great waltz course. And this time Claudia Eichler was able to count on a prominent dancer: the sports councilor Kurt Hohensinner stopped for training and even dared to dance a few steps with his daughter Marie.

Reinforcements from New Zealand

And two more dancers got their voices raised and noticed: the pair are from New Zealand, have been in Graz for a few months and have completed – but unusual – waltz training – and will also support the Styrians in their world record attempt.

How to break into the world record:
Check-in and join: Together with the Styrian dance schools and the association of dance sports, we will meet on 18 September at 11:30 (joint warm-up from 10:30) on the Passamtswiese in the city park of Graz.
