Sebastian Yatra He was born on October 15, 1994 in the city of Medellín.
In 1999, at the age of five, his family moved to live in the city of Miami, United States. There, Sebastían alternated his academic studies with musicals. In 2006, at age 12, he began to compose his first songs, chose music as a profession and undertook the search for his work team to start his musical career.
In 2013 released in the United States, Colombia, Venezuela and Ecuador his first promotional single «El psicólogo», a pop ballad of his own authorship. A few weeks after its premiere, the song was number three on the national Latin chart in Colombia and number one in Venezuela and Ecuador.
The first semester of 2015 invited Colombian artists Juan David Gálvez de Alkilados and Mike Bahía to compose his new song, «Don’t call me», which will be ranked fourteen in the National Top 20 for eight consecutive weeks. In 2016, it won the category “Producers Choice Awards”.
During the month of April, he was invited to participate in the “Event 40 México” at the Azteca Stadium, and in that same year, the international television channel HTV nominated Sebastián Yatra in the category “Revelation Artist” of the 2016 HEAT Awards. He signed with Universal Music Latino and made him part of their list of artists. Together with their new record company, on July 8, 2016, they performed the worldwide release of her new single entitled «Traicionera». The song’s debut was resounding and took over, from the first week on the air, the first places in the official radio lists of Latin America, the United States, Spain and Portugal.
In late September 2017, during the announcement of the Latin Grammy Award nominees, Yatra achieved two nominations, the first for Best New Artist and the second for his EP Extended Play Yatra, for best vocal pop album. After this great news, Yatra announces that he is working on his debut album.
Sebastián also entered as a presenter at the Kids Choice Awards Colombia, also in 2018 participated for the first time as a jury and coach of the reality show The voice Kids, along with Fanny Lú and Andrés Cepeda replacing the Colombian singer Maluma.
