Sebastian Andersson, 32, has been without a club since he left Cologne last summer. The national team meritorious forward has admitted that the situation has been frustrating and that he considered quitting.
– If nothing turns up, you have to do it. I feel frustrated that nothing interesting is coming. If nothing comes, you have to consider doing something else. There’s no choice there really, it’s just the way it is. I think the time in Cologne destroyed more than it did good, he said in an interview with Fotbollskanalen in November.
But now the striker gets the chance to show off in Germany. He is on trial in Nürnberg, which is in tenth place in the 2. Bundesliga.
– How long Sebastian will train with us has not been decided, but this gives us a chance to see him up close and get a feel for him, says the club’s sporting director Olaf Rebbe to Nürnberger Nachrichten.
Andersson has had major injury problems in recent years.
Earlier in his career, the Swede has represented clubs such as Union Berlin, Kaiserslautern Djurgården, IFK Norrköping, Kalmar FF and Ängelholms FF.
