SEB banka invites to use banking services remotely; will be served on – site in “green mode” Press release

October 9, 2021.

The information was prepared by Jelena Novaka, SEB banka’s retail manager

Taking into account the restrictions set by the government and taking care of the general health of the society, SEB banka will provide customer service in the so-called “green mode” from Monday, October 11. This means that all staff who serve customers in person will have been vaccinated against Covid-19 or become ill with it. We are currently awaiting clarification as to whether on-site banking services will be available only to residents who have been vaccinated or become ill with Covid-19.

At the same time, we remind you that it is possible to receive almost all the necessary banking services remotely, therefore we invite residents to carefully assess the need for face-to-face consultation. If customers do not have the opportunity to resolve the situation remotely, we invite you to contact the bank and we will definitely create a solution to the specific need together.

“Currently, the vast majority of banking services are available to customers remotely – via Internet banking or by contacting a bank specialist in a video consultation, so we really invite you to carefully assess the need to visit the bank in person. This is a very successful practice, which is appreciated by customers and will be continued in the long run. all employees who serve customers in person have vaccinated or become ill with Covid-19, “explains SEB banka board member Arnis Škapars.

We are currently awaiting clarification as to whether, with the government’s decision, only residents who have been vaccinated or become ill with Covid-19 will be able to receive banking services in person from October 11. We will contact customers who have a valid appointment for a face-to-face meeting at the branch individually to discuss the possibilities of receiving the required service.

Video consultation options

During the video consultation, SEB banka’s customers can receive information about various daily financial and banking services, such as reviews, payment cards, authentication tools and others. During the video consultation, you can also amend the agreements and change the limits, as well as talk about savings, including pension savings and insurance, as well as receive home loan advice. You can find out more about video consultation options, as well as apply for a consultation on SEB banka’s website.

Cash withdrawals at ATMs and points of sale

The government’s decision stipulates that from October 11, separate flows will have to be organized in shopping centers for people who will be vaccinated against Covid-19 or those who have had it and those who have not been vaccinated or tested. Depending on how the shopping centers organize this, this may mean limited access to SEB banka’s ATMs located in the shopping centers.

Currently, 118 cash withdrawal ATMs and 92 cash deposit / withdrawal ATMs are available in SEB banka’s network throughout Latvia. Some of them are located in shopping malls, shops and other premises. The list of ATMs is available on SEB banka’s website.

SEB banka customers can also withdraw cash at all Swedbank ATMs free of charge.

We also remind you that SEB banka’s customers can withdraw cash at almost 250 different points of sale throughout Latvia. Most of them are small shops both in Riga and in the regions. At points of sale, up to 100 euros can be withdrawn at the same time as the purchase. The list of points of sale where it is possible to withdraw cash is available on SEB banka’s website.
