Seattle Reign beat Racing Louisville for first road win

The Seattle Reign scored twice in the second half to rally from a 3-2 deficit against Racing Louisville on Saturday for their first road win of the season.

The Reign (4-9-5, 17 points), which scored three goals for the first time this season, extended its unbeaten streak to six games (2-0-4).

Racing (4-7-7, 18 points) has lost five of seven (1-5-1).

Ji So-Yun tied the score at 2-2 for Seattle in the 75th minute off a set piece, firing a shot from the top of the box just under the crossbar.

In the 81st minute, the Reign benefited from an own goal from a corner to go ahead 3-2 when Arin Wright, in a battle with Ji in the box, headed the ball into his own net.

Louisville took a 1-0 lead in the sixth minute off a corner kick. Savannah DeMelo took the kick and Ary Borges, from the right side of the six-yard box, connected with a header that deflected off goalkeeper Claudia Dickey’s hands and into the net.

In the 13th minute, the Reign converted a penalty to tie the game. After Jess Fishlock was fouled inside the box, Sofia Huerta stepped up and fired a shot into the left side of the net, beating the outstretched hand of goalkeeper Katie Lund.

Louisville took advantage of another corner kick in the 45th minute to take a 2-1 lead. Abby Erceg headed the ball at the top of the box and deflected it into the front of the net, where Taylor Flint headed it past Dickey.
