“Seat to go” duel: Lupo not only loses the test match at TSV Hillerse

Football league team Lupo / Martini Wolfsburg played two games at the weekend – on Saturday it was part of the “Sitzplatz to go” campaign at TSV Hillerse. The district league tore the appendix from their seats. He won 3-1 against the favorite.

Only 50 spectators are allowed on sports fields due to Corona, with more (up to 500) they must have a seat. Hillerse doesn’t have that many. But the club is inventive: they provided additional chairs and asked fans to bring seats. “Not for the first time”, as division manager Heinz Gerono revealed. And: “It wasn’t our idea, we copied it from Göttingen.” This time, “fewer fans came than we had thought, but many had their seats with them. We will certainly practice that more often. ”It could also be a model for other clubs.

Lupo coach Giampiero Buonocore does not want the result of the game to become a model. The duel with TSV was the first duel in two days for the league club. The Italians also lost the game on Sunday at FSV Schöningen (0-2). “I’m not worried about the two defeats, we still have enough time until the start of the season on September 6th,” says Buonocore, who does not attach great importance to the result in friendly matches anyway. But: “I still hate to lose, the defeats should motivate us to do better.”

Despite the double bankruptcy, Buonocore has also seen a lot of good things. “Of course I can’t find everything nice when we lose. But against the ball and through play we did well for a large part, now it’s about improving details.” Incidentally, the double test was not a confusion of dates. “We wanted it that way. Almost every player was given the opportunity to play for over 90 minutes,” says the Lupo coach, who also gave the young players Giovanni-Massimiliano Schettino and Umit Ataye playing time.

Accordingly, Buonocore had largely divided the squad over both match days, even taking the defeat in Hillerse “on my own head. I didn’t put the squad together so well, the tactical guidelines were difficult for the boys to implement.” But even if there were two defeats in the end, the coach is sure: “Those were good training units – and playing 90 minutes is also nicer than a running unit.”

TSV – Lupo 3:1 (1:0). Tore: 1: 0 (10.) Ramme, 2: 0 (48.) Ziegler, 2: 1 (50.) Rizzo, 3: 1 (90.) Ziegler.

FSV – Wolf 2: 0 (1: 0). Tore: 1-0 (41st) Elsner, 2-0 (47th) Munich.
