Seat announced the arrival on the market of the Plug-in hybrid version of the new Leon (Here our proof). At the same time, the new 1.0 eTSI engine with mild hybrid technology. The new hybrid proposals represent an important strategic element for the brand, in a market that sees electrified cars increasingly protagonists.

NEW HYBRIDS
The most important novelty is the introduction of the Leon 1.4 e-Hybrid model equipped with a powertrain characterized by the presence of a turbo petrol engine with a displacement of 1.4 liters (150 HP / 110 kW) combined with an electric motor (115 HP / 85 kW). Combined, they develop an overall power of 204 hp (150 kW) with 350 Nm of torque. The transmission is entrusted to a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
The 12.8 kWh battery pack allows to the new Leon to be able to travel in electric only mode up to 60 Km. The electric motor is located between the combustion engine and the gearbox and gets its energy from the battery pack with eight modules of 12 cells each, located in front of the rear axle. From a normal socket, the battery recharges in less than 6 hours. It takes up to 3.5 hours from an alternating current column.

The new Leon Plug-in is equipped with a e-Sound device, i.e. a safety system that warns pedestrians of the proximity of the vehicle when it is circulating in 100% electric mode. This model is available in combination with top of the range FR and Xcellence versions, and is already on sale starting from 27,150.00 euros turnkey, a promotional price that includes incentives and scrapping (calculated taking into consideration a contribution from Seat and the Seat dealerships equal to 3,251.21 euros and a state contribution equal to 4,500 euro linked to the scrapping of a vehicle). Customers can also choose to buy the car in installments of 199 euros per month. 34,650 euros the starting price without promotions.
As for the new Mild Hybrid 48 Volt engines, this is the1.0 eTSI 110 CV DSG unit which goes alongside the 1.5 eTSI 150 CV. This model is available in combination with all the fittings in the range. It starts with a promotional price of 21,930.00 euros turnkey, or from 199 euros per month. Price without promotions from 25,100 euros for the Style set-up.
