Seasonic has presented a new version of the Prime TX-1600 and the PX-1600, both of which have support for Intel’s ATX 3.0. Both top models with a power of 1600W and an 80 Plus Titanium and Platinum certification were shown at the Computex trade show.
It is not known when the two new models will be released and what they will cost. Seasonic showed the PSUs at the Computex trade show in Taiwan. The main difference with the existing models is that the new TX-1600 and PX-1600 both support ATX 3.0 from Intel. That means they have an integrated PCIe 5.0 12Vhpwr connection, which can power RTX 40 cards. The psu’s are modularly built.
The devices also have largely the same specifications as the existing models. The dimensions are still the same at 210x150x86mm. The difference between the two models is in the certification. The Prime TX-1600 has an 80 Plus Titanium certification that achieves a maximum efficiency of 94 percent. For the PX-1600, that’s Platinum certification, for a maximum efficiency of 92 percent, at 50 percent load on both models.
