Foreign seasonal workers from Nepal and Sri Lanka have fled – this was signaled by hoteliers from the “Sunny Beach” resort complex, BNT reported.

According to information from the police in Burgas, four people have been registered as missing – three from Nepal and one from Sri Lanka. At the moment, there is no information that they have left the borders of the country.

Plamen Kopchev – chairman of the association of owners of hotels in Sunny Beach, explained that in his hotel they hired 15 workers from Sri Lanka, with whom they were extremely satisfied.

“We were very happy when they arrived, because the work for their arrival is a huge effort for our employees, which started in November, it is very difficult to organize, a lot of funds are needed.”

However, in the second week, three of them disappeared. The Migration Service has been alerted.

“They are common workers – firstly because of the language barrier, secondly because of the qualifications. None of them warned us – clearly some sense of disinterest, while their colleagues are doing their jobs extremely well.”

Kopchev explained that all the employees have been working here for the second year and he cannot explain why. According to initial information, some of the employees even left their luggage and passports with us, but Kopchev pointed out that they took all their personal belongings.
