Tegucigalpa, Honduras (04/07/2024). – The Ministry of Health (Sesal) reported that next Monday, from the National Biological Warehouse, it will begin to distribute the seasonal influenza vaccine throughout the national territory.
The application of the vaccine will be during the National Vaccination and Deworming Day 2024 in the months of May and June in all public health establishments.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, Miguel Osorio, explained that: “1,666,700 doses of seasonal influenza vaccine were received to be applied to prioritized at-risk groups.”
Among the prioritized groups:
- Health workers for vaccination with seasonal influenza.
- Population aged 60 and over.
- Population from 6 to 23 months of age.
- Pregnant.
- SENASA technical staff and poultry farm workers.
- Chronically ill patients from 2 to 59 years of age.
