Searching for Indonesian games on Steam is now easier

For game store pages, the selected language will automatically appear first on the game store page, if the game supports the selected language.

Also, if a user sees a game that doesn’t support one of the user’s preferred languages, there will be a notification note. Then, the selected language will appear first as an option to use in the Steam filter.

This means that users can quickly select one or more languages, to find specific games available in that language if desired.

For example, if you want to find a list of games that support Indonesian, you can go to the “Narrow by language” filter and select Indonesia. After that, games that support Indonesian subtitles will be displayed.

In its announcement, Steam added that, starting a few weeks ago, they also allowed developers to tag their games in various new languages.

“Since then, we’ve seen over 500 games add an indication of support for one of these new languages,” they said.

“Of course this is only the beginning, as more and more developers use this new tool to demonstrate support that may already be available in games, as well as when they release new games,” Steam said.
