Employees of the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee and the emergency services searched around one of Schiphol’s runways in the afternoon and evening for an object that would have fallen from an airplane. A motorist had seen something fall from the landing gear of an airplane and reported this.

Nothing was found, a spokesman for the Military Police said. Also a look at the plane did not yield any leads. It could be ruled out that this was part of the aircraft, because no parts of the aircraft were missing.
