Police officers of the General Anticorruption Directorate, coordinated by prosecutors of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Bihor Tribunal, descended, on Tuesday, at the Borş I Border Crossing Point, the action being triggered in a corruption case.

The searches took place in administrative buildings in PTF Borş, on the arteries destined for border control, both on the way in and on the way out of the country.

The entry point in the country was blocked on Tuesday morning for a period of time both on the way into Romania and on the way out of the country, the vehicles being directed to the Border Crossing Point Borş ll.

According to sources BIHOREANULUI, the action is a joint one, carried out by both the Romanian and Hungarian judicial authorities, and concerns acts of corruption committed in connection with the facilitation of the entry into the Schengen area of ​​some citizens who do not meet the conditions for this. According to the same sources, the deeds were allegedly committed between 2020 and 2021. At the same time, a number of 6 arrest warrants will be implemented, and the persons will be taken to the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Bihor Tribunal, for hearings.

According to the same sources, about 100 DGA police officers and several crews of gendarmes are taking part in the action.
