The police have started an investigation after a possible shooting incident in the Oosterpark. Around 7 p.m., police received several reports of shots fired. No victims were found.
According to local residents, there was an argument in the park, when shots may have been fired. Then the group ran away. It is not clear how big this group was.
Initially the police found nothing at the scene. However, a ‘possible’ cover was discovered shortly afterwards. The police were then called in and a search began with police dogs in the park. “It is not yet clear what happened, but as several people heard something and a case may have been found, we are taking this report very seriously,” said a police spokesman.
Police are asking anyone who saw or heard anything to come forward.
